31st AGM and Seminar – “Illegality in the Supreme Court: the Advocates’ View”

The 31st PNBA AGM will be held at 5.15 p.m. on Thursday 28th January 2021. The meeting will be held online and details of the platform will be confirmed in January closer to the time. The Agenda and the Minutes of the 30th AGM will be sent to members in January.

There is a ballot for the six places available on the Executive Committee and all members will have received their ballot form by email. The results will be announced at the AGM.

Following on immediately after the AGM there will be the first PNBA seminar of 2021, starting at 5.30pm. The seminar is  “Illegality in the Supreme Court:  the Advocates’ View” and will focus on Grondona v Stoffel (Michael Pooles QCAndrew Warnock QC and Dan Stacey)  and  Henderson v Dorset Healthcare (Angus Moon QC and James Goudkamp)

Both cases deal with issues of interest to professional negligence and clinical negligence practitioners, and the advocates in the cases will reflect on the outcome and the way forward for the illegality defence.
