PNBA Members can now book a place at two “Masterclass” seminars to be held in November 2024.
This is a new, skills based programme for practitioners at all levels of seniority, with seminars from leading practitioners in their field. It replaces the more junior focussed “Back to Basics” programme. All members are welcome. If you are not a member and wish to join please apply to join here.
This year’s programme looks at “The Art of Agreement”. There are two seminars, on 12 November 2024 and 21 November 2024. In person attendance is strongly preferred, particularly for London practitioners, but the seminars will also be available online.
On 12 November 2024 at 5.30pm Julian Picton KC and Edward Lamb KC will be speaking at Deka Chambers on practical and procedural issues relating to settlement:
- Julian Picton KC will speak about “You can’t always get what you want”
- Edward Lamb KC will speak on “Capacity and settlement: practice and pitfalls”
On 21 November 2024 at 5.00pm Imran Benson and Andrew Miller KC will be speaking at 2 Temple Gardens on negotiation and mediation:
- Imran Benson will speak about “Negotiation Tactics”
- Andrew Miller KC will speak on “If I am a great barrister, can I really be a great Mediation Advocate? How do I fit the round peg into the square hole?”
