PNBA 32nd AGM and “In Conversation with LJ Singh”

The 32nd AGM of the PNBA will be held on Tuesday 25th January 2022 as an online event. Members should email the administration to reserve their place.

We are delighted that immediately following on from this meeting Lord Justice Singh will be in conversation to discuss his new book, The Unity of Law, with Thomas Grant QC.

Sir Rabinder Singh was called to the Bar in 1989. He was appointed a QC in 2002 and was a leading practitioner in administrative and public law, appearing in dozens of cases in the House of Lords, Supreme Court and European Court of Human Rights. At the age of 39 he was appointed a Deputy High Court Judge in 2003, and is believed to be the youngest judge ever to have sat in the High Court.  Appointed a full-time judge in 2011 Lord Justice Singh became a Lord Justice of Appeal in 2017 and President of the Investigatory Powers Tribunal in 2018. He has made a major contribution to the development of the common law, most notably in the fields of human rights and privacy. He has published widely and The Unity of Law is a compendium of Lord Justice Singh’s essays and lectures, in which he explores themes as diverse as judicial review, equality, privacy, criminal law and international law.
