“Limitation issues in Clinical Negligence and Solicitors’ Negligence Cases” on Thursday 6th July.
The seminar will be held on Thursday July 6th 2023 at 2 Temple Gardens from 5.30pm. The seminar will last about an hour with the opportunity for questions at the end and to continue the discussion over a drink afterwards.
Anna Hughes and Harry Trusted (both PNBA Committee members) will be speaking at this seminar and will cover limitation issues in both clinical negligence and solicitors’ negligence cases.
Here is an overview of seminar:
There will be a short introduction to the basic statutory provisions from both speakers.
Harry Trusted will speak about the date of breach of duty with reference to claims against solicitors.
Anna Hughes will speak about ‘date of knowledge’ with particular reference to clin neg cases.
Both will then speak about dis-application of the usual 3 year limit for injury claims (s.33) from the point of view of claimants and defendants respectively.
